The course was ordered by Enterprise Estonia and executed in cooperation with BDA and Design Minds. Over 6 months companies went through a design audit all the way to prototyping and testing of new product / service concepts. The best developed concepts were rewarded at the end of the course with €10,000 to spend on further develop their ideas.

Participants were encouraged to attend as cross-disciplinary teams, in order to work intensely and independently between courses, in order to achieve a measurable and significant change in their approach to youth work and delivery of services. The course was commissioned by ENTK (Estonian Youth Work Centre).

The course is focused on achieving practical results, with more practice and less theory as a motto. Companies are mentored by individual subject matter experts and attend 4 full day lectures over the course of 12 weeks. The course is again commissioned by Enterprise Estonia and executed in cooperation with BDA.

Using service design methodology (and a limited introduction to human centred design), we facilitated a collective brainstorm of all the members of the Estonian Centre for Defence Procurement, to map problem constraints and opportunities in their internal processes. This was followed up with an ideation process to outline potential solutions.

The Estonian e-residency program was used as the foundation of the service design course, with students actively engaging with the client as well as e-residency users across the world, to improve and develop new solutions for the e-residency program.
